v2.2.11 to v2.2.12+ UDMF object scale converter

The changes to the UDMF implementation in v2.2.12 have resulted in older maps using object scaling to only scale their sprites, not their properties. This script corrects the behavior. Instructions:

  • Make sure you have the latest version of Python installed.
  • Download the script and put it in a new folder.
  • Extract your map’s TEXTMAP lump to that folder using SLADE.
  • Run the script.
  • When the script is finished, you should see a TEXTMAP_MODIFIED.txt in the folder. If not, the script did not run correctly.
  • In your map WAD, replace the TEXTMAP lump with the modified one.
  • Save and test.
