Dev Diary - Part I.

I sat back after about nine months of hard work.

The ICQ file transfer to Suneet had just finished. Sonic Robo Blast I was finally going to be uploaded to the World Wide Web. I breathed a sigh of relief, and, exhausted, collapsed into bed. For the first time in a long while, I hadn't thought about having to 'Work on SRB... Work on SRB... Work on SRB...' - so I sunk deeper into the bed.

Then something else hit me, out of nowhere, like walking through the park on a snowy day, and getting pelted by a snowball... I think we can all guess what it was.

'Work on SRB2... Work on SRB2... Work on SRB2...'

And the morning after, I opened The Games Factory and begun work on SRB2. After a few days, I had made scrolling and managed to resolve the 'Killing Dead' bug from the god-awful K&P to TGF conversion. Yikes.

And then the scrolling went too slow. So I started again. A few weeks later, I had re-made a better scrolling system, springs, spin attack, enemy bounce, special stages and had done a few levels. I kept working on SRB2 for the next few months, until I ran into the next problem...

Next time: Engine, Part II...
